Arbour Longevity  ›  Longevity & Functional Medicine

Medicine that asks why,
not just what.

Conventional medicine names what you have. Functional medicine finds why you have it. We investigate the biological terrain beneath your symptoms — gut integrity, mitochondrial efficiency, nutrient status, environmental exposure — and build a protocol around any contributing factors we identify.

For the patient nobody has helped yet

When your labs are normal
and you still don’t feel right.

Conventional medicine is built for acute care and disease management, and it does that well. It was not built for chronic, complex, multi-system problems: the fatigue no test explains, the gut that never fully heals, the years of feeling wrong while every number sits inside its reference range.

Functional medicine operates on a different question. Not what disease do you have, but what is driving your biology toward dysfunction. Upstream causes, and how they interact.

Gandhi Bhattarai, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine board certified
Three board certifications

The depth difference

Triple board certified,
across three disciplines.

Our clinician is a board-certified nurse practitioner in family practice (FNP-BC) and psychiatric mental health (PMHNP-BC), with additional board certification in anti-aging and functional medicine. Three disciplines, one clinician.

That breadth matters most where systems overlap: fatigue that is partly metabolic and partly mood, gut symptoms that track with stress physiology, cognitive complaints with several plausible drivers at once. Those are the cases that fall between specialties, and they are the ones we are built for.

  • FNP-BC — Family Nurse Practitioner
  • PMHNP-BC — Psychiatric Mental Health
  • Anti-Aging & Functional Medicine — Board Certified

The workup

Four advanced panels.
Eleven focus areas.

Ongoing care, not a single consultation. The protocol adjusts as results return and as your biology responds.

Gut & microbiome

Integrity, permeability, and microbial balance — upstream of far more than digestion, including mood and inflammatory load.

Brain fog & fatigue

Mitochondrial efficiency and nutrient status, assessed rather than guessed at, for the exhaustion that sleep does not fix.

Environmental exposure

Exposure history alongside hepatic and renal clearance markers — routinely missed on standard panels because nobody orders the test.

IV therapy treatment station at Arbour Longevity

IV therapy

Direct hydration and antioxidant delivery, bypassing digestive absorption. Useful alongside a protocol rather than as a substitute for one.

The same regenerative principle applied to knees, shoulders, and hips — your own concentrated platelets, placed intra-articularly.

Longevity questions

What people ask.

How is this different from my primary care doctor?

It is complementary, not a replacement. Your primary care physician manages acute illness and disease. We investigate why a chronic, multi-system pattern is happening in the first place, using testing that standard visits do not usually include.

My labs came back normal. Why would yours be different?

Standard panels are built to detect disease, and reference ranges are wide. We test different markers and read them for patterns of dysfunction rather than only for disease thresholds.

Is this covered by insurance?

Generally not, and we are direct about that. HSA and FSA are accepted, and you get pricing before committing.

What does the first visit involve?

A comprehensive history, discussion of your timeline and symptoms, and a decision together about which panels are worth running for your specific pattern.

How long until I feel different?

It depends entirely on what we find and how long it has been in place. Nutrient repletion can move quickly; gut and mitochondrial work is measured in months.

Is this available by telehealth?

Follow-up care is available by telehealth for established Michigan patients. The initial visit is in person.

What is IV therapy actually good for?

Hydration and direct antioxidant delivery, bypassing digestive absorption. It supports a protocol; it is not a protocol on its own, and we will not sell it to you as one.

Do you treat joint pain?

Yes, with PRP, for wear-related joint pain. Acute injury should be evaluated by orthopedics first.

How long does the program run?

Functional medicine is ongoing care with follow-up, not a one-off consultation. We will be clear about the expected arc at the outset.

What if you cannot find anything?

Then we tell you that, and we tell you what we would look at next or who is better placed to help. You will not be sold a protocol to justify the visit.
