Why concentration is the whole argument
Same blood.
Very different product.
Every clinic offering PRP draws the same blood from the same arm. What separates outcomes is what happens in the ten minutes afterward.
A single spin separates plasma from red cells. A second spin concentrates the platelets within that plasma. A single-spin preparation is still PRP, but it carries a lower platelet and growth-factor load. When you compare quotes between clinics, ask which preparation they use — it is the question that actually distinguishes them.

What is PRP, in plain terms?
We draw your blood, concentrate the platelets in it, and place that concentrate back into your skin. Platelets carry growth factors that signal repair, so you are delivering your own regenerative material to where you want the repair to happen.
Is it safe? It is my own blood, right?
Because PRP is autologous, rejection is not a concern and allergic reaction is very unlikely. Standard injection risks still apply: bruising, swelling, and a small risk of infection.
How is this different from a facial?
A facial works on the surface. PRP is injected into the dermis, at the depth where collagen is produced. Different layer, different mechanism, different order of result.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is used. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain.
What is the downtime?
Injection alone: minimal, some swelling the first day. With microneedling: a flush resembling a sunburn for 24 to 48 hours.
When will I see something?
An initial glow at one to two weeks, texture improvement at four to six, and the full collagen response building over three to six months.
How many sessions?
A series of three is the standard recommendation, spaced to let each collagen response build on the last.
Can PRP be combined with plasma resurfacing?
Yes. For the right candidate the two are commonly combined, and we will tell you whether that applies to you.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
PRP carries substantially less pigmentation risk than ablative light-based treatments, which is why it is often the better starting point for deeper skin tones.
